About the Categories

The way tricks are categorized can differ from pilot to pilot. Everyone progresses differently and brings their own experience, strengths, and comfort level into the sport. The categories shown here are therefore not meant as strict rules, but as a general reference.

They’re based on a mix of safety, technical difficulty, and how tricks usually fit into a pilot’s progression. The idea is simply to give a clear overview of where each trick generally belongs and help pilots understand how they relate to each other.
